Nick Gounaris is currently working for the United States Marine Corps as the Combat Fitness Training Specialist for Semper Fit. Prior to his time working for Semper Fit he was the Head Strength & conditioning coach at the School of Infantry East (SOIE).
During his time at SOIE he oversaw the training of multiple courses at the school house that are an integral part of Marine Corps training. Along with running the Strength and Conditioning program Nick also ran an injury prevention monitoring program that monitored 12,000 Marines every year.
Prior to his time working for the Marine Corps Nick was a collegiate Strength coach at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). During his time at FAU Nick was the Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning. He oversaw Men’s Basketball, Baseball, Men’s Soccer, and was an assistant to Football.
In his time at FAU Nick was an integral part of Baseball’s Conference Championship team in 2016. During his time at FAU Nick trained multiple professional athletes in the MLB, NFL, and Professional Basketball Leagues in Europe. Before working at FAU Nick was an Assistant Strength & conditioning coach at James Madison University (JMU).
At JMU Nick was in charge of multiple teams including Baseball, Volleyball, Men’s Soccer, Men’s Tennis, and Cheer and Dance. Nick also assisted with Men’s and Women’s Basketball. Nick’s first stop was in Strength and Conditioning was with Penn State Football as a volunteer Strength & conditioning coach.
Nick played Football and boxed as a collegiate athlete at Lock Haven University (LHU). Nick was a two time all conference defensive end/ outside linebacker at LHU. He also competed in boxing a national runner up as a heavy weight.
Coach Gounaris believes in a holistic approach to enhancing athlete fitness and decreasing their injury potential. All of Nick’s programs are individualized and specific to the needs of his athletes.

Ben is a Performance Physical Therapist. He combines rehabilitation and strength & conditioning principles to treat athletes of various competitive levels. He specializes in the treatment of overhead athletes and is passionate about bridging the gap between rehab and performance training for baseball players.
