I have had the pleasure of working with Eric Rhodes for two years both as a peer and as a coach. As a 3x Gold medalist representing Team USA at the Olympic and Paralympic Games, I can confidently say that he is the best strength and conditioning coach that I have ever have had the pleasure to work with. As a peer I knew that the D1 athletes that we coached together were in the best hands possible as Rhodes understands that safety is paramount when it comes to athlete development.
Coach Rhodes was my first professional strength and conditioning coach that helped me achieve my best fitness level of my playing career. He is exceptional at building the perfect technique in the weight room especially when doing Olympic weightlifting. Last but not least, Coach Rhodes is an outstanding leader, motivator, and has empathy towards the athlete’s characters.
Working with Eric at the University of Maryland was a great experience that helped me take my athleticism to the next level. He has a wealth of knowledge that can accommodate any number of personalized needs, whether that be preventing injuries, increasing strength or stamina, or just becoming healthier. Coach Rhodes is a high-energy guy who pushes you to become better. Eric truly cares about his athletes and is constantly watching to make sure you are doing each and every lift with perfect technique. Eric is extremely approachable and listens to his athletes when they would like to try different lifts and he does an amazing job of specializing workouts for each and everyone of his athletes.
Student athletes that have the ability to train year-round and at an indoor training facility have an enormous advantage, especially those that are or have the desire to play at the collegiate level. Players at all levels will benefit from sport specific training as well as fitness training and development. Making the most of your off-season is a “Great Way” to take the next step as a baseball player. Working with a private coach on hitting, pitching, and fielding skills or joining a quality training program that incorporates fitness development is a recipe for success. Working with Eric for 2 years at UMD was a great learning experience. As a young guy in the weight room, he helped me focus on the fundamentals of strength and conditioning. He was a professional in all aspects of his job and helped me get to where I am today.

I worked with Eric at the University of Maryland and Marymount University where he worked with our women’s soccer teams as our Strength and Conditioning coach. Ben is a Performance Physical Therapist. He combines rehabilitation and strength & conditioning principles to treat athletes of various competitive levels. He specializes in the treatment of overhead athletes and is passionate about bridging the gap between rehab and performance training for baseball players.
