Frequently Asked Questions

It’s a four-week specialty clinic built around one goal: more bat speed. Players are introduced to Overload/Underload weighted bat training to help increase bat speed, which in turn increases exit velocity.

The clinic is $250 per player for a four-week block that meets once a week. Choose the November or December block in the Sign Up section above.

Sessions run on Tuesdays from 7:30 – 8:30 pm. The November block meets Nov 3, 10, 17, and 24. The December block meets Dec 8, 15, 22, and 29.

The Bat Speed Clinic is for players ages 11–13.

Each session starts with a specific movement prep and warm-up, including medicine ball throws and tosses, to prepare the body for bat speed development. From there, players are introduced to a variety of drills and techniques that help them hit the ball harder and farther.

Players swing bats that are heavier (overload) and lighter (underload) than a standard bat. Training with both helps players learn to generate and handle more speed, with the goal of carrying that speed over to their regular swing.

Bring a bat, glove, and helmet, plus turf shoes or tennis shoes (no cleats indoors) and a water bottle. All sessions are held indoors at 9709 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030. Questions? Call 571-307-5888.
