The HammerZone Softball Hitting Academy is a focused training program designed to develop complete hitters through mechanical development, pitch recognition, and athletic performance training. Led by experienced coaches with collegiate and competitive hitting backgrounds, each academy session incorporates targeted drill work built around the fundamentals that translate directly to game performance. Hitters develop proper swing mechanics, consistent contact points, and the strength and explosiveness needed to drive the ball with confidence — leaving every session more capable, more dangerous, and better prepared to own the box at the next level.

The Youth Softball Hitting Academy is a four-session fastpitch hitting program at our indoor Fairfax training facility, designed to build complete hitters rather than just prettier swings. Every session pairs mechanical development with pitch recognition and athletic performance training, so the gains your daughter makes in the cage actually show up in her next at-bat.
Each academy block is $250 and includes four one-hour sessions, paid in a single payment with no membership required. That’s roughly $63 per session of coach-led hitting instruction — a more affordable path to consistent, structured development than booking four separate private lessons.
We run two four-week blocks. The July block meets July 12, July 19, July 26 and August 2. The August block meets August 9, August 16, August 23 and August 30. Every session runs from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Hitters can register for a single block, or stack both for eight consecutive weeks of development.
All sessions are held indoors at HammerZone Sports, 9709 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030. Because the academy runs entirely inside our facility, sessions stay on schedule regardless of rain, heat, or field conditions. Many families do both: the academy for structure and momentum, private lessons for fine-tuning, and cage rentals for extra swings in between.
