Coach Rick Freeman boasts a rich coaching legacy spanning over three decades. His journey began in 1991 as the Pitching Coach at Robinson High School, where he laid the foundation for his coaching career. From there, he became Head Varsity Coach at Falls Church High School from 1994 to 1998 and then at Fairfax High School from 1999 to 2007.
Following a three-year stint as Head Coach at Flint Hill School from 2007 to 2010, Coach Freeman returned to his alma mater, Fairfax High School in 2011, where he has consistently led the team as the Head Coach ever since.
In addition to his high school coaching experience, Coach Freeman has made significant contributions to Travel Baseball over the past decade. His leadership has steered teams to national recognition while nurturing the talents of numerous Power 5 Division I recruits, who have gone off to play at the collegiate level.
As a testament to his deep connection with the sport, Coach Freeman is a proud 1986 graduate of Fairfax High School. His journey in baseball extended beyond the high school level, taking him to both collegiate and professional arenas.
Coach Freeman’s wealth of experience and dedication to player development make him an invaluable asset to our performance center. His measured approach to coaching is a statement of his enduring commitment to the sport and the athletes he mentors.
