Emily Bankson

Emily Bankson, a native of Windsor, Virginia, is a George Mason University alumna who excelled both academically and athletically during her time there. Emily played softball for all four years, serving as a first baseman and a key hitter for the team. She earned VaSID All-State Honors in her junior year and, during her final season, tied for the team lead in doubles and triples. Defensively, she was a standout, leading the team with an impressive .988 fielding percentage and recording 239 putouts at first base.

Emily completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at George Mason University. She now works in the Multiple Disabilities program at Woodson High School and contributes her expertise as an assistant coach for the varsity softball team.
