How the KZONE Builds Elite Pitchers

The KZONE Elite Pitching Program is a four-day-a-week training system built to develop complete pitchers. Athletes start with monthly metrics testing and video and motion analysis, giving them detailed feedback on arm path, sequencing, and timing. From there, daily drill packages reinforce mechanics, a full arm care routine protects long-term durability, and a customized velocity program guides on-ramping, velocity phases, pitch design, and recovery. Focused pitch development work sharpens pitch shapes, spin efficiency, and release point consistency to improve command.

Rounding it out is a complete performance routine: strength and power training with multi-joint lifts, medicine ball throws, and plyometrics; mobility work targeting the hips, thoracic spine, and shoulders; and speed strength training through contrast work, band-resisted movements, and velocity-based lifts that translate directly to a faster, more explosive delivery on the mound.

Frequently Asked Questions

KZONE is HammerZone’s elite pitching development program in Fairfax, VA, combining pitching instruction with dedicated performance training. Athletes work through daily drill packages, a customized velocity program, pitch design, and a full arm care routine, alongside strength, mobility, and speed work. It’s built for pitchers who want to move better, throw harder, and compete with confidence.

Pricing depends on level and how many days per week you train. High School memberships are $360 per month for 2 days, $425 for 3 days, and $500 for 4 days. Middle School memberships are $335 per month for 2 days and $400 for 3 days, available as either Pitching & Performance or Hitting, Pitching & Performance.

Sessions run one hour each, with up to 6 players per session, so instruction stays hands-on. Athletes train on a consistent daily, weekly, and monthly progression rather than one-off lessons, which is what allows us to build and track development over time.

Every athlete starts with monthly metrics testing and ongoing data tracking. We pair that with video and motion pattern analysis to break down arm path, sequencing, and timing, so changes are based on what the athlete is actually doing rather than guesswork. Those numbers are revisited each month to confirm progress.

KZONE is led by HammerZone’s professional baseball instructors. Our senior instructor is Gardner Meeks, a Graduate Assistant Coach with the George Mason University baseball program, where he assists with pitching development and program operations while pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Management.
