Private & Small-Group Lessons

HammerZone Sports offers private lessons in hitting, pitching, fielding, and catching—one-on-one instruction built entirely around your athlete’s goals and skill-development needs. Please contact us for more information or to schedule a session.

Small-group lessons give athletes an ideal blend of focused coaching, competitive energy, and age-appropriate skill development. By working in groups of three to four, players receive individualized instruction while still benefiting from the pace, challenge, and excitement of training alongside their peers. This format lets coaches correct mechanics, reinforce fundamentals, and introduce advanced concepts more effectively than in large-group settings—while athletes stay engaged through competitive drills, partner work, and challenges that mirror real game situations.

Frequently Asked Questions

At HammerZone you can train one-on-one or in a small group — whatever fits your athlete best. Private (1:1) lessons put your player alone with a HammerZone instructor for fully personalized work on hitting, pitching, fielding, or catching. Small-group lessons (2:1, 3:1, or 4:1) keep that same coaching in a competitive, team-style setting at a lower per-player price. Everything runs at our indoor Fairfax, VA facility year-round in 30- or 60-minute sessions, with discounted 5- and 10-packs available on private lessons.

We work with players of nearly every age and level — from young beginners learning to hit off a tee to high schoolers chasing a varsity spot or college recruitment. Whether your athlete trains one-on-one or in a small group, the instructor tailors every session to their age, experience, and development, which makes lessons a good fit for kids as young as 7 all the way through their teen years. Families train with us from Fairfax and across Northern Virginia, including Oakton, Vienna, Centreville, Chantilly, and Burke.

Private (1:1) lessons are $75 for 30 minutes and $120 for an hour, with discounted 5- and 10-packs that lower the per-session cost — the multipacks include an evaluation at the beginning and end so you can track progress. Small-group lessons are priced per player and drop as the group grows: 2:1 is $45 for 30 minutes or $75 for the hour, 3:1 is $65 for the hour, and 4:1 is $55 for the hour — all per player. You can book any format right on this page.

Most players see the best results with one to two private lessons a week, often paired with team practice or small group lessons. One-on-one time is where mechanics actually get corrected and reinforced; from there, reps in practice and games lock it in. Our 5- and 10-pack options make a weekly routine easy to sustain, and your instructor will recommend a cadence based on your athlete’s goals and schedule.

We’re at 9709 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030, with indoor cages and training space so lessons run year-round. To book, choose a 30- or 60-minute session (single or multipack) and set a time with your instructor. If you’re not sure who to start with or what your player needs most, reach out and our staff will point you in the right direction. We serve families throughout Fairfax and the surrounding Northern Virginia area.
